
BBQ Chicken Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 1 cup barbecue sauce
– 8 slices of toasted bread
– 1/4 cup butter, melted
– 2 cups shredded coleslaw mix
– 4 slices of cheddar cheese
Instructions:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, cumin, oregano, salt, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar.
3. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade.
4. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
5. While the chicken is cooking, mix together the barbecue sauce and melted butter until combined.
6. When the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the air fryer and brush each piece with the barbecue sauce mixture.
7. Return the chicken to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
8. Toast the bread slices in the air fryer for 3 minutes.
9. To assemble the sandwiches, place a piece of chicken on each slice of toasted bread and top with shredded coleslaw and a slice of cheddar cheese.
10. Serve and enjoy!
