Juicy lamb burgers with a Mediterranean twist
Ingredients:
-1 lb ground lamb
-1/4 cup diced red onion
-1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
-1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
-1 teaspoon oregano
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1/2 teaspoon sea salt
-1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
-4 whole wheat hamburger buns
-1/4 cup tzatziki sauce
-4 slices of tomato
-4 lettuce leaves
Instructions:
1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
2. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, red onion, feta cheese, mint, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties.
4. Place the patties in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
5. Toast the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 2 minutes.
6. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on a bun, topping with tzatziki sauce, a slice of tomato, and a lettuce leaf.
