Beef and Mushroom Pie

Beef and Mushroom Pie

A comforting pie filled with tender beef, mushrooms, and a rich gravy, baked until golden brown.

Ingredients:

-1 lb of lean ground beef
-1/2 cup of diced onions
-1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
-2 cloves of garlic, minced
-1 teaspoon of dried oregano
-1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
-1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
-1/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
-1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
-1/2 cup of beef broth
-1/4 cup of heavy cream
-1/2 cup of frozen peas
-1/2 cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese
-1 sheet of prepared puff pastry
-1 egg, lightly beaten

Instructions:

1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are softened, about 8 minutes.

3. Add the mushrooms, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the flour and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.

5. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring until thickened. Add the frozen peas and stir to combine.

6. Transfer the beef and mushroom mixture to a 9-inch pie dish. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.

7. Cut the puff pastry into 4 equal-sized pieces. Place the pastry pieces over the top of the pie dish, overlapping slightly. Brush the beaten egg over the pastry.

8. Place the pie dish in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
